New CMA Online Meeting for Veterans, First Responders

A new online meeting, CMA for Veterans and First Responders, begins Sunday April 23 at 8 pm CST. The only requirement to attend is a desire to stop using.

The literature-style meeting, which focuses on the unique needs of veterans and first respondres, will read from “Just for Today” followed by attenders' shares. Veterans, as well as any first responder—based on their own definition of the term “first-responder”—will appreciate the focus of the meeting, says Nate S., who along with two other Fellows—Wisconsin John and Dave—are launching the meeting.

“First responders experience a much higher rate of ‘critical incidents’ than average folks, typically 40 events in a career,” says Nate S., who also co-chairs a 2 pm CMA Chicago online meeting. “An average person may experience three events.”
